Freedom from Principalities: How to Get Free

This might be one of the most important programs I have ever done. The Lord put it on my heart this week. I have been on the front lines of deliverance ministry every day Monday through Friday for years, and I cannot keep being the only person fielding these emails. I am a month behind on my inbox. So instead of staying quiet about how I get people free from a heavenly prince, I am putting the tool in your hands.

Dealing with a high-ranking heavenly power is not the same as casting out a low-level demon. If you fight a principality with the same tools you use for ordinary oppression, the fight feels endless. The weapons work. The strategy is wrong. So here is the strategy, and the ten-point prayer that has come out of years of front-line refinement.

A demon wants to squat in a human body. The Legion in the Gerasene demoniac (Mark 5) was living inside that man and did not want to leave. Mary Magdalene had seven cast out of her. Demons want territory because they have nowhere else to go.

Heavenly princes operate differently. They have their own bodies and their own realms in the heavens. They do not need to live inside you. They interface with you, anchor in, and puppet your life from their realm. Daniel chapter 10 describes one of them by name when the angel tells Daniel that the "prince of Persia" had withstood him for twenty-one days. That prince was not in a human body. He was in his own realm doing that.

So the mechanics are different. To break free, you have to deal with anchor points, agreements, portals, and a counterfeit inheritance that the prince has put inside of you. If you skip any of these, the bondage does not fully break.

There is almost always some kind of contractual agreement. Sometimes it is a generational dedication you never knew about. Sometimes it is a vow your ancestors made. Sometimes you walked into it through occult practice or trauma. Even if the deal does not look fair to you, the enemy plays dirty.

This is why I open the prayer with a divorce. The pattern is biblical. In Jeremiah 3 the Lord describes giving Israel a certificate of divorce because she committed adultery against Him. If a divine being can divorce humans, the inverse is also true. A human can divorce a heavenly power that has been pirating their life. So step one in the prayer is, "Father in heaven, I come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and I renounce this principality and serve him a bill of divorce."

That alone will not finish the job, but it is the right starting line.

The prayer is a framework. The Holy Spirit may add to it for your specific case, but in roughly 90 to 95 percent of the cases I have prayed it, this is what shuts the whole thing down.

1. Divorce the prince in the name of Jesus.
2. Send the heavenly hosts to put every part of you that is loyal to him to sleep. Single-mindedness is required for breakthrough (James 1:5-8).
3. Deed the territory of your heart over to the kingdom of God, and invite Jesus to rule it with His rod of iron (Psalm 2:9, Revelation 19:15).
4. Bind every gatekeeper and discover every portal access point belonging to the principality, his realm, and his inheritance.
5. Apply the blood of Jesus to every portal and seal them with the Holy Spirit. Put them to sleep. Permanently deactivate them.
6. Take the sword of the Spirit and cut yourself free from the principality, his realm, and his inheritance (Hebrews 4:12).
7. Return every form of counterfeit inheritance, including promised wealth, position, calling, ability, genetic code, and seed. Renounce all spirit children and undo every quantum entanglement involved in their creation. Reclaim every part of you that has been imprisoned by him (Revelation 18:13 names "bodies and souls of men" in the merchandise of Babylon).
8. Appeal to justice. As a man sows, so shall he reap (Galatians 6:7). Pray that the principality reaps a hundredfold return for all the evil sown against you, your ancestors, and all whom you represent.
9. Take authority over every demon under his jurisdiction. The strong man is bound. Now plunder the house (Matthew 12:29).
10. Consume every spiritual object, tattoo, or branding placed in or around any part of you in the holy fire of Jesus Christ, and cause the principality's memory of you and your seed to perish (Isaiah 26:14).

A heavenly prince will hold a carrot out. He offers his realm and his inheritance. Wealth, position, status, power. Sometimes the bondage you cannot shake is hidden behind a part of you that does not want to give that promise back. People come to me unable to figure out why a prince will not leave. Often it is because a part of them is holding on to the promise of counterfeit inheritance and will not even tell the minister.

This is also why bloodline families are targeted so heavily. They carry seed and genetic code that has been hijacked. Daniel 2:43 says, "They shall mingle their seed with the seed of men." This is not an abstract metaphor. It is the front lines of where I am working every week. To get free you have to return what was given.

Three things. First, ask the Holy Spirit which heavenly prince is binding you. Names matter, and I read off a list at the end of the program (Mammon, Molech, Lucifer, Jezebel, Queen of Heaven, Apollyon, Baal, Set, Rah, and many others). When a name makes your head spin or your stomach turn, that is a good sign.

Second, do not pray this if you are a brand new believer. This is a tool for people walking strong with the Lord with their own house in order. If you need this and you are not yet equipped to pray it alone, find a mature minister to pray it with you.

Third, download the prayer. The full ten-point version is at the prayer resources tab on bridemovement.com. Print it. Memorize the structure. Use it. I leave it open on my desktop most days because I am praying it for so many people.

Jesus already won this. The princes in the heavens lose power every time another person they were pirating walks free.
