How to Bust Demons Upside the Head. Dan Duval on Using Your Full Arsenal
Most Christians are fighting with one hand tied behind their back.
Not because God withheld anything from them, but because nobody told them what they actually carry. They know about the armor of God. Some of them know Ephesians 6 by memory. But when it comes to actually engaging the powers of darkness with precision, most believers have been trained to stand there and absorb hits rather than go on the offensive with the arsenal Scripture gives them.
I am done watching that happen.
What This Episode Is Actually About
This is a pep talk. But not the kind that gets you fired up and then leaves you wondering what to actually do Monday morning.
In this episode of Discovering Truth with Dan Duval, I walk through the weapons of warfare that believers have been given through Jesus Christ, not as abstract theology, but as tools you can pick up and deploy in prayer today. The Church has been handed an arsenal, and most people are sitting on it.
Second Corinthians 10:4 is the foundation: "The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty in God for the pulling down of strongholds." Pulling down. Not holding your position. Not absorbing one more round of what the enemy has been doing to your family, your health, your mind. Taking active, targeted action against the structures of darkness that have set up camp in your life and in your situation.
That is what this episode is about.
Why "Just Stand Firm" Is Not Enough
The standard teaching on spiritual warfare goes something like this: put on the armor, hold your ground, don't give the devil a foothold. And that is not wrong. But it is incomplete.
If that were the whole picture, then the prayer lives of most Christians would look like two teams in a stalemate. God's people holding a line, the enemy pushing against it, and nothing actually advancing. That is exactly what I see when I sit across from someone in a session and they have been praying the same things faithfully for ten years and the situation hasn't moved.
The weapons of warfare are not designed to maintain a defensive perimeter. They are designed to take ground.
What the Bible Says Is in Your Hands
Scripture contains far more than five pieces of armor. The Psalms are full of weapons. The prophets named weapons. God released weapons against His enemies throughout the Old Testament: hailstones, lightning, arrows, consuming fire. Those same realities are available to the believer who understands that the war did not get smaller when Jesus ascended. It got bigger. The kingdom is advancing.
When I first started cataloguing the weapons available to a believer in prayer, the list kept growing. Nets for capturing. Hooks for dragging out. Arrows of famine released against the spiritual infrastructure that feeds demonic assignments. Deep sleep commanded over spirits assigned to interrupt. The fiery stream of Daniel 7 released against the camp of the enemy.
These are not metaphors. They are weapons with tactical application in the spirit realm, and learning to use them with precision (matching the right weapon to the right situation) is what separates a believer who prays and waits from a believer who prays and sees things move.
The Time of Year Matters
I released this episode in October, and that was intentional. The week leading into Halloween is a week when darkness is celebrated openly in the culture. The powers that operate in that system do not take the holiday off. Neither should you.
If there is ever a season when God's people should have their weapons sharp and their prayer lives fully engaged, it is this one. Not in fear. Never in fear. In authority. The same authority that raised Jesus from the dead is at work in those who belong to Him, and that authority does not dim when the culture gets darker.

This article will not give you everything in the episode. What you need is the full teaching: the breakdown of specific weapons, how I use them in actual ministry sessions, and how you can start applying them in your own prayer time. That is what the episode delivers.
Watch it, take notes, and start experimenting with your arsenal. The powers of darkness are far less frightening when you realize what is actually in your hands.
