In Norse mythology, Yggdrasil is the world tree that connects nine realms. Most people first hear the name in a movie or a video game and assume it is only a story. The Yggdrasil Prayer was written because it is not only a story. Behind the imagery sits a real counterfeit spiritual structure, and real people end up tethered to it through ancestral practices, occult exposure, trauma, or generational bloodlines they had no say in.
The nine realms are Alfheim, Asgard, Vanaheim, Muspelheim, Midgard, Svartelfheim, Jotunheim, Helheim, and Nifleheim. A person does not need to know any of those names to be affected by them. What matters is that ties to this system can form at the level of the spirit, the soul, the body, the DNA, and the essence, and those ties can hold a person in patterns they cannot explain or break on their own.
Daniel Duval developed this prayer to address that specific architecture. It does two main things. First, it maps and severs every tie between the person and the Yggdrasil structure, including ties that run through parts, fragments, ancestors, and any element of a person's design that has been pulled into it. Second, it issues a formal bill of divorce, reclaims what was hijacked, and restores the person to their original design in Jesus Christ.

How to Use This Prayer
This is not a beginner's first prayer. It assumes a foundation. The person praying needs to know who they are in Christ, what authority the blood of Jesus carries, and (in most cases) needs to have done some prior inner healing and deliverance work before stepping into a prayer this targeted.
When the moment comes, the heart posture is what activates the prayer, not memory recall. A person does not need to consciously remember any encounter with Norse practices, generational involvement, or ancestral entanglement. Trying to dig consciously for those memories can actually overwhelm the soul, and is not what the prayer asks for. The invitation is to come into agreement with what Jesus already accomplished, and let the Holy Spirit do the work underneath. The prayer is prayed by faith.
Two cautions. First, the authority behind this prayer is the finished work of Jesus Christ. Someone who has not yet placed their faith in Him is not yet positioned to pray it. Second, for anyone carrying significant trauma, dissociation, SRA history, or active occult involvement, this prayer belongs inside a structured deliverance process. It is not designed to be prayed cold by someone walking into deep waters alone.
